The main difference between RelayX and Relay+ is RelayX’s superior battery life, connectivity, and audio. While they both come equipped with all the same enhancements our customers know and love, RelayX is better suited for louder or physically harsh environments. 

We typically recommend RelayX to teams in industrial environments, and Relay+ to teams with discreet communication needs that would benefit from smaller, easier to carry devices, such as those around guests, patients, or students.

Yes, Relay offers multiple compatible headset and earpiece options. Whether you work in loud environments or need to communicate discreetly, Relay’s got a headset or earpiece for everyone. Relay is also bluetooth compatible if you’d like to pair Relay devices with headset technology you already own.

Relays can be worn in a variety of ways. For Relay+, we sell both spring clip cases that can clip to a belt or shirt lapel and breakaway lanyards that can be worn around the neck. Relays do not connect over radio frequencies. Relay operates over all major US cellular networks and Wi-Fi, rather than relying on radio frequencies and repeaters.
